Having shaped a significant amount of U.S. foreign policy in the latter half of the 20th century, Henry A. Kissinger has earned the Presidential Medal of Freedom and a Nobel Peace Prize – and he has recently come under fire by some for allegedly committing war crimes decades ago. While protesters gathered across the street from the Fairmont Hotel, he spoke at a sold-out luncheon hosted by The Commonwealth Club on July 19, 2002.
