The New York Times recently disbanded its environmental reporting team and the message is clear: people are weary of gloom and doom stories. Yet, environmental issues such as climate change, fracking, industrial agriculture and more are threats that will not go away so easily. Join us, as panelists from a wide range of different media will discuss the state of environmental journalism, addressing questions about the future of investigative reporting, evolving media and why we should care about the environment. Dobb is the Carnegie Lecturer at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, which maintains a strong program in science and environmental journalism.
