While the Affordable Care Act expands health insurance to millions of Americans who were previously uninsured, many immigrants, along with some 11.7 million undocumented people, remain without coverage. What immediate effect does the ACA have on our immigrant population and their access to care? Our panelists will discuss how the Affordable Care Act will impact immigrants unable to get health insurance, what the health-care future might hold for them and how our health system would be able to eventually absorb these millions of people when they finally get coverage.
