Fick spent five years in the Marines where, shortly after 9/11, he led a platoon in Afghanistan and Pakistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and later a reconnaissance unit during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Having fought in the deadliest conflict since Vietnam, Fick shares his personal story of what life is really like at the front lines and the immense pressures that men and women face every day in combat.
