Among the many rights and freedoms that Americans enjoy, what is the correct constitutional status of religious freedom? Should it be a “first freedom” and have priority over other rights or is it equal? These questions are at the heart of the current national debate over religious freedom, contraception, and the new federal health-care law. Former federal appellate judge and constitutional law expert McConnell will share his thoughts on this compelling issue.
