Integral Healthcare: Healing Approaches for Troubled Times
Integral Health Care: Body-Mind Healing Approaches for Troubled Times
Michael Mayer, M.D., Co-founder, Transpersonal Psychology Program, John F. Kennedy University; Author, The Path of the Reluctant Metaphysician: Stories and Practices for Troubled Times
Our world is in upheaval. At times like this, Mayer believes, the “wounded healer” in each of us is called upon to find collective and personal stances to take toward troubled times. Using his background as a psychologist who incorporates body-mind healing methods, cross-cultural mythology, Tai Chi/Qigong, metaphysics and political action in his viewpoint on integral health, Mayer will present methods for dealing with our responses to adversity and feelings of disempowerment for people looking to find new life stances. He will address related conditions such as hypertension, anxiety and insomnia.
