Evening From the Archives: Women's History Month Special with Ambassador Samantha Power
In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re diving into our program archives throughout the month of March to highlight some of our staff favorites from the last few years. From Mae Jemison, the first Black woman to travel to space and a tireless advocate for women's involvement in STEM education, to Madeleine Albright, the first woman to serve as U.S. secretary of state, we’ve been honored to have trailblazing women join us onstage over the years.
This week, join us to watch our program with Samantha Power, President Barack Obama's ambassador to the United Nations. Widely known as a leading moral voice of her generation, Power has been described by President Obama as one of America’s “foremost thinkers on foreign policy” and is revered as a Pulitzer Prize winner and a relentless advocate for promoting human rights. She joined "Pod Save America"'s Dan Pfeiffer onstage in San Francisco for a conversation about her memoir The Education of An Idealist, the power of diplomacy in an ever-changing world, and approaching work with a clearer eye and a kinder heart.
Join us for an Evening from the Archives special, and join the live chat to talk about the program and the Club with other members and supporters.
