Changemakers: Inclusivity in Civics

Join us for a live conversation on Twitter! Education innovator, blogger, and activist mom Amber Coleman-Mortley is a voice for justice and accessibility in civics education, working with educators, parents, and students themselves to teach young people how to engage in democracy and make it work in their favor. As a self-proclaimed "life nerd," Amber uses hands-on civic learning and real world experiences to foster introspection and inquisitiveness in youth, challenging them to understand the complexities of history and civics, and giving them the skills to tackle the realities of social injustice in age-appropriate ways.

This interactive Twitter space will feature Amber Coleman-Mortley with Creating Citizens intern Demille Taylor. Be a part of the conversation and learn about the profound effects of inclusive civics education on young people and our communities.
