Rep. Ro Khanna: How to Build on Climate Wins
Congressman Ro Khanna has made climate an important part of his legislative career. As chair of the House Oversight Subcommittee on the Environment, he grilled oil industry executives about spreading climate disinformation. Khanna also played a key role in securing climate-related funding during negotiations for the Inflation Reduction Act, the biggest piece of climate legislation ever passed in the United States.
Despite being one of the more progressive voters in congress, Khanna has a reputation for coalition building; he got more bills passed than any other Democrat during the former administration. Now that Republicans control the House of Representatives and are looking to claw back climate provisions of the IRA, what levers can he still pull to address the climate crisis?
