NATO has been assisting Ukraine in its fight against Russia since February 2022, when Vladimir Putin sent in his troops to dismember the country. The war has drawn NATO countries closer in their resolve to deter Russia and defend against it if necessary, and also in their commitment to help Ukraine.

Now that the battle lines are at stalemate, how should NATO be thinking about the future of these challenges, especially as China builds up the military threat in Asia?
