Join us while Stan Bunger shares fascinating takeaways from his thousands of on-air interviews with football icon John Madden, as chronicled in his new book, Mornings with Madden. Despite Madden’s international fame, there was a side of the football legend known only to those who listened to San Francisco morning radio. The Bay Area is where John Madden grew up, lived and died, and where, for decades, he found joy in a daily chat with Bunger, on his hometown radio station. It was a chance to unwind, tell stories, and impart his own brand of wit and wisdom. In Mornings With Madden, Bunger—whom Madden regarded as a true friend and who was on the other side of that radio mic—illuminates this larger-than-life figure, drawing upon memories of more than 15 years of daily broadcasts.
